Job Area Manager in Victoria

As the Area Manager, you’ll be on the front lines, solving operational and logistical issues while supporting the needs of stakeholders. A strong leader and communicator, you will become a trusted advisor to our clients with the ability and experience required to advise and support our staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all employees on Vancouver Island (Victoria & Nanaimo) including valet services at hotels and patrol operations
  • Assist departments as needed with a hands on approach
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with clients
  • Conduct regular visits to all locations to ensure efficient operation and to control/manage any issues
  • Oversee and ensure that all cash and audit procedures are being followed
  • Review and report on P&L Statements
  • Oversee the management of all customer complaints
  • Manage and train new employees and supervisors
  • Lead teams and ensure that parking related issues are dealt with immediately
  • Ensure regular inspection reports are being conducted by field and/or maintenance staff
  • Oversee all projects within scope (contracts, new equipment, renovations, etc.)
  • Work with HR to address all employee related issues such as pay raises, position changes, disciplines and terminations

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2 years of related operational and management experience
  • Valid Class 5 License with reliable transportation
  • College diploma and/or University degree
  • Strong relationship management skills with employees, colleagues, customers, and business partners
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure, problem solve, and set appropriate priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
