Tasks:
Assist to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements;
Assist to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools;
Assist to measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials;
Assist to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems;
Assist to fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware;
Assist to survey building locations and levels, Instruct apprentices;
Assist to estimate costs and materials;
Assist to maintain, repair and renovate residences
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle, Willing to travel, Valid driver's license, Travel expenses paid by employer
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, Handling heavy loads, Large workload, Overtime required, Physically demanding, Tight deadlines
