Job Assistant Dishwasher in Vancouver
Looking for kitchen staff at small Japanese restaurant in Kitslano.
Responsibilities include dishwashing, cleaning the kitchen, and some prepping.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year kitchen/prep experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
Some Job Duties Include:
- Dishwashing
- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes all surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Perform routine kitchen tasks.
- Follow the prep to plan duties.
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18-20 per week
Salary: From $16.00 per hour
