Concrete Saw Cutter - Helper

DeFord Contracting Inc. is looking for an experienced Concrete Saw Cutter Helper for Civil Construction city projects in and around the Greater Edmonton Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate concrete cutting equipment (Husqvarna Floor Saw 7000) on construction related projects
  • Perform concrete and asphalt cuts
  • Perform labour intensive work (general labour for Concrete)
  • Assist Saw Cutter with any tasks/responsibilities
  • Meet concrete specifications outlined for project
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Read construction blueprints
  • Maintain and use knowledge of concrete tools and equipment
  • Comply with safe working procedures

Expectations:

  • Must have 2+ years of concrete/asphalt cutting experience
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a CLEAN 3 Year driving abstract
  • Knowledge of and experience with Husqvarna Floor Saw 7000
  • Must be willing to work long hours and overtime during busy seasons
  • Capable of and willing to perform heavy manual labour
  • Capable of and willing to work in hot, dusty or cold conditions
  • Must be a team player, as well as possess the ability to work independently
  • Must have knowledge of the city and surrounding areas
