As an associate manager, Brand Marketing & GTM, you will contribute to the organization’s success by supporting our iconic Summer and Holiday seasonal promotions execution across our company operated and licensed business – one of the foundational ways we connect with our customers every day.

Associate managers on this team add value to the Marketing team by bringing to life the go-to-market (GTM) strategy for the seasonal promotion, collaborating with cross-functional groups of partners (employees) to ensure a holistic customer experience across both our company operated and licensed network, that ultimately drives traffic to our stores and brand love amongst Canadians from coast to coast. You’ll be responsible for working closely with internal teams to manage the process milestones, deliver informative store signage, effective owned channel communications (website, app, etc.) and engaging content across our Social Media platforms.

This role will be working out of the Toronto Regional Office and will require the successful candidate to work out of the regional office 3 days per week.


In this role, you will…

  • Support the seasonal lead across in-store signage owned channel, organic social and GTM process management:
    • Facilitate visibility of tactical plans amongst the cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic seasonal experience for customers and in-store partners in both our licensed and corporate stores.
    • Champion the launch of the season through internal presentations
    • Support licensed store planning and execution requirements for seasonal promotions
    • Support the cross-functional reporting process to unlock actionable insights that help optimize future seasonal promotions
  • Execute the seasonal signage and owned channel strategy to help influence store level and mobile app purchase behaviour to ensure we achieve product category objectives:
    • Respond to and support internal briefs
    • Lead the in-store signage process with signage input
    • Proof-read content for accuracy including copy and layout
    • Support the relationship with external printing vendor
    • Support launch management Issue resolution with cross-functional partners
  • Support the manager in the continuous optimization the cross-functional GTM process
  • Support always-on campaign monitoring and In-year refreshes as required
  • Collaborate with the GTM process lead to help determine the seasonal promotion GTM process milestones
  • Build trust-based relationships and create an inclusive environment through radically candid conversations, caring deeply and being direct, with both their partners and leaders.

Summary of Experience

  • Project leadership in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment, 3+ years
  • Supports planning and execution of full-scale (paid media, owned channels and in-store) omni-channel marketing campaigns, 2+ years
  • Retail or QSR experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge and ongoing curiosity of the marketing landscape including; consumer behaviour, Canadian media consumption, creative trends and POS/Signage printing
  • Strong knowledge of marketing vehicles and marketing fundamentals
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to different audiences through fact-based storytelling.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Analyzing business results and qualitative data to support strategies and process optimizations
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to positively contribute to the Starbucks culture by consistently living our missions and values
