Are you a passionate developer looking for a challenging opportunity?
Experience in version control, branching, unit testing, performance profiling, debugging, and reading / writing technical documentation. As well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills and well-versed with fundamental programming concepts and/or data structures and algorithms is needed to be successful in this role.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical field
  • 3 years of experience in software development
  • Hands-on experience in writing highly-optimized SQL queries
  • Experience of working with various scripting and programming languages (C#, SQL Server, Python, Javascript)
  • Experience with DevOps tools and agile practices
  • Experience with developing in various operating systems (i.e. Window, Unix, Linux)
  • Good understanding of software development, database design, data analysis, network analysis, operation system and cloud structure
  • Experience with sustainment
  • Good communication skills with both technical and business units
Responsibilities:
  • Work on within a Product team as a technical team member, driving user story analysis and elaboration for data requirements
  • Development, test, and implement application enhancements and upgrades to our POS host application
  • Provide break-fix support
  • Create relevant documentation as required including conceptual design, logical and physical designs, as-built diagrams, knowledge transfer materials, FAQs, and transition to operations information
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
