What you can expect when joining the team

As Business Intelligence Team Lead, you will be responsible for the team that contributes to the creation, review and maintenance of product usage and health dashboards, user behavior dashboards and reports for the company's customers.


You will work closely with product managers, engineering, product marketing and customer success to create resources that enable the business to make better decisions based on relevant data. You will be responsible for achieving business goals and completing projects on time and within scope and budget. You will also be responsible for the development of your team in line with Petal's strategic plan.


Your daily life

During the day, you will be led to:

  • Manage the team of business analysts, functional analysts and data visualization for BI, composed of approximately seven professionals in the field;

  • Act as a product manager for BI topics, encompassing the delivery of development teams in a matrix structure;

  • Deliver projects of new functionalities, operational requests and major Government initiatives;

  • Support internal and external customers in the technologies of Snowflake, Power BI, Looker, and others, in their daily activities;

  • Ensure the continuous improvement of the operational processes under your responsibility;

  • Propose business solutions based on the analysis of business data from Petal and our customers in order to enable efficiency gains;

  • Provide monthly monitoring of BI infrastructure budgets and suppliers;

  • Provide production support in strategic business cycles while participating in the resolution of BI incidents;

  • Act as Petal's main contact and data expert;

  • Mobilize your team to ensure the sustainability of operations;

  • Build and track data roadmap, in collaboration with software development teams;

  • Set up “game changer” type business cases to ensure the innovation of the organization’s BI practices.


Your profile

Are you a highly organized and seasoned BI professional, known for your capacity to build relationships built on trust? Do you stand out for your ability to manage several projects simultaneously, to context switch and manage pressure? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop the BI practice in a recent function where several things remain to be built? The sky is the limit! If you have:

  • A DEC / BAC in computer science or equivalent;

  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience;

  • A solid knowledge of data analysis, data models and the use of data visualization tools;

  • Excellent communication skills, including documenting, visualizing, presenting to mixed/large audiences, and balancing speaking and listening;

  • Excellent leadership skills including collaboration, accountability, results, self-motivation, big picture vision, building strong relationships and negotiating;

  • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical, organizational and task management skills;

  • Since you will be working with colleagues who are both unilingual French-speaking and unilingual English-speaking, English-French bilingualism is preferred.
