Job Description


The Business Partner Analyst supports and analyzes company financials monthly, quarterly, and annual and assists in preparing and forecasting the annual budget. They will be responsible for the accuracy of cost provisioning and implementing process improvements as required. They will also be responsible for recurring and non-recurring cost analysis that may be requested.

  • Leverages financial acumen to synthesize and filter key information for the development new reports highlighting trends, drivers, risks, and mitigation options within operational teams to support data driven decision making
  • Create, adapt and/or modify management reports related to budgets, forecasting or operations
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting for the executive management team and other departments
  • Analyze financial performance and develop forecast models
  • Perform budget and cost analysis
  • Build and maintain models and business cases
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve and automate reporting tools and processes
  • Implement new performance indicators
  • Assist in creating presentations for the executive management team
  • Support month-end and year-end close process

Qualifications
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, passionate self-starter possessing 3-5 years of financial planning and analysis experience
  • A team player able to work collaboratively across operational and functional teams as a valued business partner and effective independent team member
  • Demonstrated proficiency preparing company budgets, forecasts and financial reports
  • Must be able to analyze and understand the operations, as well as the key drivers of the business
  • Excellent communication skills dealing with various levels/departments of the organization.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and a great ability to play with numbers/data
  • Ability to handle multiple requests with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and high volumes environment
  • Strong working knowledge of advanced Excel functions and Power point
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or in a similar field
  • Proficiency in English both written and spoken, French an asset
  • SAP knowledge an asset
  • Knowledge of Power BI an asset
  • Experience in transportation and logistics an asset
