Job Business Development Analyst in Remote

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, North America, the Business Development Analyst will help in identifying and evaluating a variety of opportunities for licensing, partnering, alliances and transactions, supporting both Corporate and Business Development Objectives. This role will play an integral part in business development activities and the expansion of our product portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential partners through market research, events, and conferences.
  • Evaluate potential opportunities using internal filters/criteria, available resources, and literary research.
  • Communicate effectively with potential partners and manage follow up and meetings accordingly.
  • Attend external meetings, conferences, and seminars to identify new opportunities and expand the company's network.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with strategic partners within the pharma community, associations, and KOL’s to support business development efforts.
  • Build, maintain and manage a robust pipeline of potential external assets.
  • Create, manage, and guide cross-functional teams on conduct a thorough analysis of acquisition and licensing opportunities.
  • Actively participate in due diligence processes for new opportunities and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate looking to apply their knowledge in a fast paced, growth focused pharmaceutical company. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in a business development role or the life sciences industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or life sciences required
  • Master’s or MBA, preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with various level of management and partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities.
  • Growth mindset with a zest for seeking new opportunities and establishing relationships with involved stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • This position is fully remote, based out of Canada
  • The successful candidate must be able to travel internationally
