The CORA Group is seeking a Manager of Business Development to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to execute and oversee team operations. The Manager will be responsible for mentoring and coaching existing and new business development team members, as well as implementing and refining our M&A business development process with a variety of tools, metrics and standards.
Reporting directly to the Director of M&A, the Manager will play a critical role in generating acquisition opportunities globally. The ideal candidate should possess excellent CRM database and company research skills, be self-motivated, driven, focused, and dynamic.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage a team of business development professionals to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Conduct industry and competitive research to identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
- Analyze and manage the existing CRM database of available prospects to identify potential targets that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics.
- Oversee the BD team with tracking and execution of trade shows and other events.
- Work with the M&A Marketing team to create campaigns for the BD team using outbound methodologies such as email, phone, LinkedIn, conferences, trade shows, and professional contacts.
- Perform data analysis on current and stale prospects to ensure that the correct information is kept up to date for the team and senior leadership team.
- Assist the BD team with the management of a database of new, current, and stale prospects, keeping them current via reporting and pipeline management techniques.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business development objectives, in alignment with the company's overall strategy.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and clients.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and results to senior management.
- Conduct quarterly reviews with the BD team to ensure they achieve their yearly goals on the business as well as personally.
- Arrange team activities to build morale and a positive work environment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, with at least 2 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Experience in conducting industry and competitive research, analyzing data, and identifying potential targets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, with a positive attitude and work ethic.
- Able to lead a team remotely and locally.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of business development methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements.
