About the role:

The Learning & Development Manager is responsible for designing and implementing Wave’s strategy for talent and leadership development. Reporting to the Senior Director, People & Culture, you will be both the strategic driver and tactical executor of all learning and development programs. You’ll work closely with the entire P&C team and all people leaders across Wave to ensure that individuals and teams can explore and develop their abilities.

Here's how you'll make a difference:

  • You will design and deliver a learning and development program for Wavers that aligns with the business strategy and outcomes, positioning individuals to succeed in their current roles and develop skills for future ones.
  • You will manage programs end-to-end, including research, creation, and execution, as well as identify and measure success.
  • You will facilitate various development sessions that are engaging, relevant, and impactful learning and growth programs for individuals and teams.
  • You will create a learning strategy calendar for specific learning programs to address specific business needs.
  • You will partner with P&C and business leaders to ensure that learning and development are aligned with the overall business strategy and goals.
  • You will champion a growth mindset at Wave, you will be creative in creating programs that are easily navigated by Wavers, ensuring that individuals are excited and fulfilled by their growth path at Wave.

These will help you succeed:

  • 5-7 years of experience in similar roles related to learning, training, leadership development, or talent programs.
  • Certifications or training in adult learning and/or learning and development is an asset.
  • Experience creating, implementing, and facilitating learning and development programs.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong bias for optimization and driving continuous improvement.
  • Continuous self-improvement and upskilling is a priority.
  • Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to design and implement learning and development strategies that drive business results.
