What you will do

  • Community management: respond to comments, messages and reviews in a timely, tactful and thoughtful manner
  • Interact regularly with communities, encouraging discussion and participation in order to increase customer engagement and satisfaction
  • Create, write and post content (image and video) to drive engagement on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Linkedin, Pinterest, Spotify pages
  • Produce and implement various content tactics
  • Plan and manage the diffusion calendar for each platform in conjunction with the Social Media Specialist
  • Be aware of current community events, local trends and challenges in various sectors in order to make the brand shine
  • Build relationships with local community stakeholders, such as sports associations, clubs, gyms, city events, schools, community centers, coaches, artists, athletes and more, to bring the best local events and activities to the city.
  • Support and manage the execution of events, both in-store and in the community, to maximize Decathlon's engagement in the marketplace.
  • In addition to your role as Community Leader, you will be expected to support retail operations.
  • Attend store events to create and share content
  • Represent the brand to the community during in-store and out-of-store activations
  • Develop and conduct community tactics in line with commercial policies and the country’s commercial calendar
What we are looking for

  • 3 years of experience in retail, communications, marketing, digital media or journalism
  • Excellent knowledge of social media, platform functionality and opportunities
  • Has excellent knowledge of the physical activity and sports market in the Vancouver region
  • Previously created a community on social media (considered an asset)
  • Experience creating photo and video content (a portfolio would be considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media and the ever-changing trends of each platform
  • Proficiency with the following tools/software: Google Trends, Google Analytics, Editing software, Photoshop/ Canva, Facebook Business Manager
  • Experience in community management in the retail or e-commerce industry is considered an asset
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Autonomy, crisis management and ability to work in a team
  • Excellent organizational, time and priority management skills;
  • Able to travel to the region regularly to visit stores and events
