Position Summary
Data Analytics BI Programmer is responsible for building the end to end data pipelines to power analytics and data services. This role is focused on data engineering to build and deliver automated data pipelines from a plethora of internal and external data sources. The Data Analytics Programmer will partner with product owners, engineering and data platform teams to design, build, test and automate data pipelines that are relied upon across the company as the single source of truth.
Your Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Collect and decompose detailed requirements for development of dashboard/reporting tools
  • Identify and recommend solutions for analytics/reporting tools
  • Lead design and development of analytics/reporting solutions
  • Develop analytical tables and pipelines for analytics solutions
  • Work under the constraints of standard source control
  • Participate in code review
  • Guide best practices for data and analytics requirements, development, technical design/architecture as inputs to BRDs & solutions
  • Manage tech debt (sunset/enhancements) and support of existing solutions developed & maintained by the Analytics team
  • Complete technical QA on analytics/reporting tools built & owned by the domain Analytics team
  • Perform analysis/insights
  • Create functional design and solution requirement documentation for metrics and visualizations that underpin analytics use cases.
  • Develop visualizations and enhancements to existing program dashboards working across the enterprise technology stack including, but not limited to Hive, Tableau, MySQL, Python,and other homegrown BI tools.
  • Mobilize and engage with cross-functional stakeholders across involved partner teams to define dashboard and analytic requirements in support of future efforts focused on data discovery, intake, and prioritization processes necessary for pipeline and data source development, as required.
  • Automate pre-identified workflows using Python programming language
  • Testing and debugging software applications with Python test framework tools like Behave, Pytest, PyUnit, etc.
  • Build metrics collection frameworks for the automated workflows and it's efficiency
  • Expertise in Core Python fundamentals and programming
  • Experience implementing data integration techniques such as event / message based integration.
  • Extensive experience working with various data sources (SQL, HiveQL, Oracle database, flat files, CSV, delimited), Web API, XML.
  • Working knowledge and experience using threading limitations of Python and multi-process architecture.
  • Familiarity with event driven programming in Python.
  • Experience in scheduling jobs or trigger events programmatically.
  • Experience in Data Cleaning and Data transformation using Python
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable application
  • Understand Business Data and Reporting Requirements
Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications Required:
  • 5+ years’ experience engineering and operationalizing data pipelines with large and complex datasets.
  • 5+ years’ hands on experience with Data integration platforms
  • Experience with implementing NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Pandas and Keras.
  • Development experience in Hadoop ecosystem Pig, Hive, HBase, Spark, Scala, Kafka
  • Extensive experience working with various data sources (SQL,Oracle database, flat files (csv, delimited), Web API, XML.
  • Experience with Data visualization tools like Tableau, MS Power BI and Qlik
  • Advanced SQL skills required. Solid understanding of relational databases and business data; ability to write complex SQL queries against a variety of data sources.
  • Strong understanding of database storage concepts (data lake, relational databases, NoSQL, Graph, data warehousing).
  • Able to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
