JOB DESCRIPTION

This key role within the Business Intelligence & Data Operations team is responsible for the overall design of the enterprise-wide data/information architecture, which maps to the enterprise architecture and balances the need for access against security and performance requirements. Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.

This role plays an important part in maturing and operating IMAX’s data governance and operational data processes across our enterprise systems to ensure data connectedness, consistency, quality, and completeness.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish Architectures, Tools, and Workflows that enable fast and efficient use and flow of Data
  • Drive collaboration with Business Stakeholders and other IT Teams to ensure seamless interaction of IT systems and Business Data Flows
  • Design, develop, implement, and coordinate efficient and effective architectural frameworks, guidelines, policies and procedures for Data Management and Data Flow
  • Develops enterprise data model and views of related sub architectures (e.g., database, data integration, data warehouse/business intelligence, reporting, metadata, and content management architectures)
  • Implement a strong, collaborative team culture that focuses on continuous improvement
  • Identifies data-related business requirements and service standards (e.g., transaction processing speed, data mining and reporting capabilities, data security, scalability, etc.)
  • Work with various IMAX teams to reduce inefficiencies in business or IT processes related to Data and Data Flows
  • Specialist domain knowledge of IT Architecture, IT development, IT systems integration (SAP BW, AWS, SnowFlake, Dell BOOMI MDH)
  • Specialist domain knowledge of IT Data Integration Tools (Dell BOOMI)
  • Continued focus on delivering business value
  • Understanding of agile Tools/Techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • You are a recognized subject matter expert in job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
  • You manage projects or processes with limited oversight from manager
  • Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to other IT and business professionals
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex
  • Effective communication with leadership required
  • University or technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting/ implementing business intelligence strategies and solutions
  • Superior communication skills and executive presence
  • Solid understanding of current technology capabilities, and a keen interest in staying abreast of emerging technology trends and opportunities
  • Firm understanding of data warehousing technologies (e.g., SAP BW, SQL, AWS, Snowflake) and web reporting, mobile reporting, and executive dashboard concepts (BEx, QuickSight)
  • Experience using Dell BOOMI and MDH
  • SAP ERP data structure knowledge
  • Data modeling, InfoProvider design, metadata management and analytics
