Job Delivery Driver in Guelph

The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for operating delivery vehicles and delivering parts/equipment to outside customers, and other Altruck International Truck Centre locations. You will be working out of our South Western regions of Ontario and the hours of this position are; Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

What we’re looking for: Valid G class driver's license and a clean driving abstract required. Knowledge of GTA - Southwestern Ontario. AZ license is an asset. Thorough knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic laws. Mechanical skills to maintain vehicles and solve minor problems is helpful. Understanding of geographical locations and able to read a map. Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs. Able to pace driving and schedule pickups in a timely fashion. Able to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Good communication skills and good understanding of safety precautions.

What you’ll do: Operate a delivery vehicle in a safe, courteous and efficient manner. Delivering parts to our Customers with a passion for developing relationships with our customers. Picks up parts from vendors. Engaging with customers face to face, enjoying driving (safely) and working independently. Building long term relationships with the customers you are delivering to. Consistently focused on safety while driving and delivering our parts. Driving throughout the metropolitan area using maps and directions and or on Provincial, residential and county roads.

Working Conditions This is a physically demanding position. The Parts Delivery Driver may be required to lift heavy items from time to time, and will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. They must request assistance for any parts/objects over 50 lbs. They will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
