The Director, People Analytics & Technology will lead a team of talent analytics professionals to design and implement data-driven strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent. This position will provide strategic management, and operational leadership to support enterprise HR analytics and technology service delivery. Areas of responsibility include oversight, planning, performance, and delivery of existing and emerging technologies supporting enterprise HR analytics capabilities. This position is expected to support the broader People & Culture (P&C) team and business leaders as it relates to setting enterprise strategic priorities, delivery execution and productivity for employee and talent related reporting, analytics, and insights. It will be accountable for defining and executing strategies for the development of new or existing functionality, testing, implementation, and support. This role will provide consultation support and HR best practices on new technologies and system enhancements to meet evolving user requirements, including recommendations for new HR applications and is also responsible for overall data integrity and usability of various applications.

Responsibilities include transformation & innovation, operational excellence, program and project management, partnership development with key stakeholders inside and outside P&C (e.g., Retail, Wealth, IT, Finance, etc.), vendor management, reporting, service delivery, security governance and adherence to Meridian policies and committee approvals.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Responsible for the development, execution, and oversight of the overall HR Technology Strategy and roadmap for the organization in partnership with key P&C colleagues and stakeholders to provide leadership, direction, system expertise and data driven solutions to enable the business to scale.
  • Partners with key stakeholders and colleagues to increase and expand HR system capabilities to build streamlined and scalable processes, provide meaningful insights and analytics for the business, ensure data-driven decision making, and to improve the employee experience.
  • Orchestrate and accelerate a consistent people analytics strategy and roadmap for P&C and the enterprise that is aligned to the organizational and P&C strategic plans.
  • Develop and maintain 3rd party vendor relationships and contracts, add input to relevant contract negotiations in partnership with P&C, procurement, and legal colleagues as needed.
  • Provides strategic direction on the utilization of employee data across all company integrated systems.

Operational

  • Oversees the design, functionality, implementation, administration, training, direction and security of HR technology and data analytics applications and other linked systems.
  • Develop and maintain a data governance framework to ensure data quality, privacy, and security in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Project manages annual processes and functional revisions, including prioritizing, tracking, managing test process and developing training and client support for system changes.
  • Ensures all HR systems and data operate and are maintained to the agreed quality and service requirements.
  • Leads the planning and deployment of HR system upgrades, including the scheduling of key activities and communicating of system downtime to appropriate parties. Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes across the team in conjunction with our technology roadmap and leadership.
  • Drive the development of SLAs based on work prioritization and accountable to ensure the team meets SLA commitments
  • Partner with stakeholders such as Payroll, Compliance, Finance, IT, Retail, Wealth, HR Leadership, and other internal teams to provide support and solutions to business needs
  • Ensure HR systems are secure and compliant with regulatory requirements by routinely auditing security profiles and assignments.
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure all business processes and other configurations are working as expected to maintain data security, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Stay current and on top of HR Data and Technology industry trends and drives recommendations on improving HR technology and data analytics capability via participation in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining a professional network, and participating in professional organizations.

Leadership

  • Ensure resources are allocated to highest priority work and match individual team members’ skills to appropriate work
  • Responsible for coaching, developing, and rewarding a team of HR System People Analytics employees and consultants.
  • Develop and execute a plan to develop next generation of HR technology and analytics leaders and succession talent
  • Monitors the performance of Data Analytics & Technology team members through the analysis of KPIs to identify trends and to drive continuous improvement (both system and process).
  • Develop and manage the department budget. Contributes to the development of cost controls related to the HR Ops budget.
  • Assesses and determine staff training needs and technology requirements. Seeks out opportunities to enhance diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree; preferred areas of study HR or Computer Science
  • 10+ years of professional experience working within HR data analytics and systems required
  • 5+ years of direct leadership experience.
  • Must have demonstrated experience as a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple work assignments and priorities with urgent deadlines, maintaining excellent client service skills, while working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Must be able to articulate complex, technical terms into practical terms to build understanding.
  • Must have proven ability to manage large-scale initiatives, and can connect all relevant points to ensure seamless execution.
  • Must possess strong written & communication skills along with high attention-to-detail.
  • Expertise in HRIS systems such as UKG (strong preferred).
  • Knowledge of all areas of HR.
  • Experience in reading and writing technical specifications preferred.
  • High level proficiency in UKG, PowerPoint, Word, Excel preferred.
  • Must have analytical acumen, critical thinking, and interpretative ability.
  • Proven ability to form strong intra and cross-functional relationships with all levels of staff and management and influence others to drive to a common goal.
