What will you be doing?:
The dishwasher / steward works as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of the dishwashing operation.
- Safely operates the mechanical and manual dishwashing systems.
- Properly uses and stores chemical and sanitizing solutions as per WHMIS requirements.
- Efficiently cleans all dishes, pots and pans, & etc. in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures sinks, stainless-steel countertops, dishwashers and hand sinks are cleaned and sanitized each shift.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area at all times.
Working Conditions:
- Morning, Afternoon/evening shifts and daytime weekends. Some holiday hours will be required.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
Experience, Training and Education (demonstrating requirements):
- Previous Stewarding experience an asset
- WHMIS Certification an asset
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation due to the shift work
- Energetic & flexible
- Good English communication skills
