Position Profile- Continental Day Shift A
  • Continental day shift – 0800 to 2000
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Must have shunting experience
  • Hourly rate: $22.66/hour + hourly safety bonus
  • $0.50 /extra an hour if LCV qualified.
  • Hours of work may change from time to time according to operational demands
  • Reporting directly to Shunt Coordinator and indirectly to Yard Services Supervisor
  • Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick checks, and trailer greasing
  • Responsible for handling all incoming requests to the Winnipeg shunt team on assigned shift
  • Managing all trailer movements on assigned shift
  • Needs to work closely with Shunt Coordinator, City Dispatch, Maintenance, and the Warehouse on daily shunting activities
  • Must be comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing, texting, and internet.
  • Will be working out of the Bison Centreport yard
Candidate Profile
  • Company Driver residing in Winnipeg or immediate area
  • You will be well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Foster a teamwork environment
  • Ensure other shunt drivers are operating with good efficiency and offer coaching to improve
  • Driver who consistently leads by example
  • You will be reliable, flexible and punctual
  • Must be comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
