Position Profile- Continental Day Shift A
- Continental day shift – 0800 to 2000
- 12-hour shifts
- Must have shunting experience
- Hourly rate: $22.66/hour + hourly safety bonus
- $0.50 /extra an hour if LCV qualified.
- Hours of work may change from time to time according to operational demands
- Reporting directly to Shunt Coordinator and indirectly to Yard Services Supervisor
- Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick checks, and trailer greasing
- Responsible for handling all incoming requests to the Winnipeg shunt team on assigned shift
- Managing all trailer movements on assigned shift
- Needs to work closely with Shunt Coordinator, City Dispatch, Maintenance, and the Warehouse on daily shunting activities
- Must be comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing, texting, and internet.
- Will be working out of the Bison Centreport yard
Candidate Profile
- Company Driver residing in Winnipeg or immediate area
- You will be well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
- Foster a teamwork environment
- Ensure other shunt drivers are operating with good efficiency and offer coaching to improve
- Driver who consistently leads by example
- You will be reliable, flexible and punctual
- Must be comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
