GFL Environmental is looking for a Class 1 Roll-Off Driver to join our team in Trail, British Columbia!
The role requires physical capability to frequently lift container hooks. An ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor and is physically capable of completing job duties in a positive, team oriented and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • R esponsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of customer waste from industrial, commercial, and institutional roll-off sites
  • Daily route consists of driving to customer sites, secure bin on truck, empty bin at transfer station/landfill, return bin to customer site
  • Perform driver check-ins periodically to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion.
  • Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
  • Required to tarp loads
  • Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
  • Ensure that service is completed in accordance with established policies
  • May perform some additional responsibilities as assigned by the Route Supervisor/Site Manager
  • Required to follow all applicable Provincial and Federal transportation laws
Requirements
  • Must have valid Class 1 License with Air Brake endorsement
  • 1-2 years driving experience in a transportation sector
  • Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent decision-making skills
  • Walking-floor trailer experience is an asset
