Job Electrician in Regina

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Helper II- Electrician on a permanent basis at our Co-op Refinery Complex (CRC). This position requires on-site work and is based in Regina, SK.

Shift: 4 days on then, 3 days off -37.33 Hours/week

What you’ll do:

  • Carry out duties in the Electrical Trade Section of the Maintenance & Reliability Department at a Helper level of responsibility.
  • Learn and troubleshoot electrical systems in the Plant.
  • Read and update prints.
  • Climb and perform work at various heights with the proper safety restraints.
  • Assist Journeyperson Electricians with the daily routines in the Electrical Section.

The Team: You will work closely with other Tradespersons across the Maintenance Department and will report into the Trades Supervisor.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Production, Trades and Maintenance and:

  • Completion of Grade XII including Chemistry 30, Physics 30, and Math/Algebra 30 is required. If the candidate is missing one of these three classes, the application will be accepted provided the missing class is completed within a prescribed time period.
  • Applications from candidates who do not possess technical qualifications (ex. education, tickets) required for the position as of the closing date of application will not be accepted.
  • The person appointed to this position will be required to undertake the applicable training programs to qualify for advancement.
  • A good working knowledge of refinery operations and practices would also be considered an asset.

This is a unionized role that resides with UNIFOR Canada Local 594 offering a wage of $40.13 per hour. As a union member, you would be subject to pay union dues as part of the collective agreement.
