About The Opportunity

Working as an integral part of the Ta na wa Ns7éyx̱nitm ta Snew̓iyelh Language and Cultural Affairs Department, this position reports directly to the Director Ta na wa Ns7éyx̱nitm ta Snew̓iyelh Language and Cultural Affairs. This position acts as the administrative “right hand” to the Director, Language and Cultural Affairs and manages all inflowing and outgoing information from the office. The Executive Assistant acts as the “gatekeeper” for the Directors schedule and keeps the Director organized by coordinating agendas and preparing materials for meetings. Operating as the “key point of contact” between the team members and management, this position provides high level critical communication, clerical and administrative support as well as the maintenance of filing systems and the scheduling of appointments, visits and meeting rooms. The incumbent requires a range of office management skills, word-processing and administrative skills associated with program planning, community health events, workshops, newsletter and flyer production. The EA exercises initiative, judgment and problem-solving skills to complete work, proactively anticipating needs/roadblocks before they arise.

Salary: $ 68,876 - $ 77,100 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
