Job Description


REF# 001

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial reporting and analysis support. More specifically the Financial Analyst will:

  • Support Corporate and month/year-end reporting
  • Maintain financial corporate records
  • Assist in preparing, reporting, and analyzing budgets and forecasts
  • Ensure WIP/AR are current
  • Provide monthly and quarterly variance analysis to management
  • Support on bids and proposals
  • Produce standard cost variance analysis
  • Project consolidation reporting
  • Plan and carry out annual internal audits
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations

Qualifications
  • A college diploma or university degree in a related field with a minimum of five years financial review, project accounting and reporting, or equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Experience with carrying out internal audits and reports
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to produce trend analysis reports
  • Excellent attention to details and accuracy
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Adept at using MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional designation (or in process) is considered an asset
