Job Summary

Reporting to the Finance Manager – Foodbuy Conversions, the Finance Customer Analyst will be a financial partner to Account Managers (AM) and Sales teams. Support them in assessing and promoting their prospects and client’s most financially lucrative product purchasing programs. Conduct product optimization and market basket analysis to document and present findings.

Work with Account Managers and Sales to understand their requirements, extract and analyze complexly structured data from multiple sources (e.g., product details, rebates/allowances, sector pricing, supplier listings) to determine client performance and product recommendations and create reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth

  • Review and evaluate existing and proposed purchasing programs and provide solutions for product optimization including the assessment of financial impact
  • Identify and quantify the most appropriate and financially lucrative product solutions to meet client needs and improve return on spend.
  • Conduct like for like product analysis
  • Update product list conversion analysis with price and allowance changes
  • Summarize conversion analysis into easy-to-understand format based on usage
  • Document job functions and share knowledge acquired

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP and pivot tables a must)
  • 1+ years’ experience in an analytical role preferably in the foodservice or CPG industries
  • Strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, analytically inclined and a team player
  • Positive attitude with the desire to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to help to elevate the department support function
