What You Will Do:
Mediaocean is looking for a mid-level Frontend Software Engineer to join the Flashtalking team. As a Frontend Software Engineer, you will be working on our feature-rich front-end applications. You will be working closely with other engineers, product managers and UX designers to help develop an amazing experience for our customers.
Your day-to-day activities will include building new features across several React based front end applications. Teamwork is important and you will be a critical member of the team responsible for the client side of several applications.
This position is 100% remote, preferably working Atlantic Standard Time (Canada), EST (USA) or UK hours.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working on and contributing to complex React based front end applications
  • Understand and evaluate business requirements from the product team and build features accordingly
  • Working with a team, breaking up tasks as necessary to complete the feature requests on time
  • Peer reviewing code
  • Testing your code via unit and integration tests

Who You Are:

  • You have experience working with React and the ecosystem surrounding it, including Redux, Hooks, ES6+ and Redux Form
  • You’re proficient with Git
  • You’ve written high quality unit tests with Jest and Enzyme
  • You have a willingness and passion to learn
  • You have designed and developed modern, component-based user interfaces
  • You are comfortable working with a global team that works out of multiple time zones
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative team environment and are respectful of others
