Job Description

Procom Labs is seeking an expert React Developer to join our Portals Team!

In the Lab you will be innovating with creators from coast-to-coast to deliver meaningful, fulfilling work and you will have the latest and greatest technology to do it. We care about the change we create just as much as we care about each other.

The Role

The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an agile environment. Your primary focus will be to develop, test, maintain and improve applications. As a vital member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for front-end web development, creating responsive web applications.

Our Stack

• Our products use React for the front end
• Our back end is a microservices based API system built on the newest .NET Framework 5+ and follows industry standard RESTful API design principles. As major version updates are introduced in .NET, we update our services regularly
• We make heavy use of serverless cloud architecture. We utilize Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Service Bus and Azure Active Directory
• Our data store is Microsoft’s NoSQL database – Azure CosmosDB
• We are not married to any technology – we develop based on the right tools for the given job, and our deep technical expertise

What You’ll Do

• Work in agile teams of 4 – 7 people (iterative)
• Assist in making architectural decisions
• Peer review of designs and coded implementations; provide guidance and mentor junior team members
• Define needs around maintainability, testability, performance, security, quality, and usability for UI platform
• Enable agile development of UI artifacts
• Design, develop, and manage automated unit, integration, and acceptance tests for all UI components
• Discuss new technologies, best practices, etc. to developers, testers, and managers
• Influence UI design requirements to build best-in-class experiences
• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of applications
• Investigate issues reported by testing teams to determine impact, root cause, and solve them
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to optimize performance
• Clearly articulate development and timeline dependencies
• Improve team development related processes that accelerate delivery, drive innovation, lower costs, and improve quality
• Coordinate your workflow with graphic designers and product owners
• Build RESTful APIs
• Identify problem areas in code and suggest solutions on how to tackle them

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years of experience working with React
• Experience with large enterprise applications and distributed systems
• Strong development practices
• Excellent problem solving and optimization skills
• Experience working on a product team
• Knowledge of front-end patterns (container/presenter, etc.)
• Strong experience in testing
• Ability to take charge in terms of providing solutions to problems and making recommendations
• Strong verbal and written communication
