About this Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Production Foreman, this position will place a priority on health, safety and environment. The chosen candidate will have a full working knowledge of production facilities, work independently and be capable of operating gas compressors, oil battery facilities, multi well pads and associated production. The candidate will reside in the Rocky Mountain House/Eckville/Leslieville area.

Responsibilities:

  • Environment, Health & Safety must be a priority
  • Support and initiate safe work practices, following all Paramount policies and procedures
  • Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of producing wells, test facilities, compressors, lift gas stations, and water injection facilities
  • Participate and follow compliance initiatives
  • Ensure operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner
  • Responsible for production tracking, fuel flare, and vent logs
  • Identifying deficiencies and recommending corrections to existing procedures to ensure the assigned field meets performance standards
  • Contribute to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets
  • Maintenance and monitoring of facilities in general

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completed GPO/PFO certificate is desired, and 4th Class Power Engineering would be an asset
  • Preference for 3-7 years of operating experience
  • Valid H2S and First Aid certifications along with a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Plant experience is an asset
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, time management and organizational effectiveness are critical to this position
  • Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork
  • Able to identify opportunities to improve operations production, activities, processes and procedures
  • A disciplined work ethic, self-motivated, positive attitude and strong desire to contribute is essential
  • Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programs
  • Will be required to work 8 days on & 6 days off, working 10-hour days. Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must take part in on-call rotation
