JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager's responsibilities include all services relating to the cleanliness and maintenance of the guest rooms and public areas. They will be responsible for supervising all housekeeping staff in order to maximize productivity, morale, and to provide outstanding service to our guests.

YOUR ROLE

• Executes and organizes all housekeeping services pertaining to public areas and rooms.
• Management of the laundry purchasing, staffing, and inventories.
• Maintenance of all housekeeping related equipment (including linen and terry control)
• Human Resources Management of all HR aspects within the scope of the Housekeeping Department such as approving time-sheets, hiring, and training
• Ensure hotel standards are respected
• Perform routine inspections of hotel rooms and public areas
• Managing and monitoring all service contracts in conjunction with the executive management.
• All administrative functions

YOUR PROFILE

• Diploma\degree in hotel management or in a similar field
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of management or supervisory experience in a housekeeping department
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
• Natural leadership abilities and organizational skills
• Seeks out new challenges and ability to work under pressure
• Detail oriented, structured concern for hygiene
