Job Housekeeper in Saint John

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Open Housekeeping; check rooms inventory, assign rooms to room attendants.

Inspect rooms, complete room reports, verify status reports, load clean rooms into automated property management system or report to hotel front desk.

Monitor payroll reports and work schedules.

Monitor lost and found program.

Ensure stock rooms and carts are maintained with proper supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Responsibilities include training and supervision of room/suite and house attendants to ensure all rooms/suites and public areas are cleaned and comply with hotel standards. Visually inspects rooms/suites.

· Must be reliable and flexible with scheduled hours of work.

· Must demonstrate attention to detail and commit to taking pride in your work.

· Self-motivated and able to work productively with minimal supervision.

· Must be well-groomed.

· Must be friendly and demonstrate positive behaviours.

· Hilton Brand Standards must be adhered to at all times. In addition, the essential hospitality standards must be used at all times; eye contact, smile, speak first to guests, engage in polite conversation and use the guest surname when known.

· Must be approachable and a team player.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Minimum educational level – Grade 12 (or equivalency) is an asset.

WORK SCHEDULE: Must be available to work days, weekends and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
