Job Housekeeper in Edmonton

Position Title: Housekeeping Attendant

Accountable To: Executive Housekeeper

Essential Duties:

  • Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas according to established standards including:
  • Bed-Making
  • Vacuuming Carpets and Mopping Floors
  • Dusting and Wiping Walls and Ceilings
  • Cleaning Mirrors, Windows, Toilet, Vents, Vanity, Bathtub and Shower Curtains
  • Cleaning Guest Room Furniture, Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker and Phones
  • Restocking Supplies and Towels
  • Clean Hallways and Common areas as assigned
  • Stock and maintain housekeeping cart and linen storage room
  • Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests

  • Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas.
  • Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team
  • Be professional, responsible and mature in conduct and behavior

Safety & Security

  • Be knowledgeable of policies regarding emergency procedures.
  • Minimizes safety hazards by following all safety, security rules and procedures
  • Be knowledgeable about bloodborne pathogen procedures
  • Use all chemicals and cleaners properly
  • Ensure protection of guests’ room numbers and policies regarding guest room access procedures

Physical Requirement

  • Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g., run, walk, jog)
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 lbs with assistance
  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
  • No prior experience required
  • Hospitality experience desired

Part-time hours: 32-40 per week

Salary: From $15.00 per hour
