Duties

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager provides multi-functional human resources support services; assists in administrative human resources actions such as staffing, health and safety, training, tracking, testing, etc.; provides information and procedural advice to clients and maintains information systems and other records.

This position will work closely with the Human Resources team and will play an integral role to support the field unit human resource programs and liaise with management on a regular basis. Other duties include assisting the Human Resources team with administrative support as required.

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who has strong attention to detail and works well with clear rules and organized work methods.

Parks Canada is a federal government agency responsible for the protection and presentation of Canada’s outstanding natural and cultural resources through a system of national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites in all regions of Canada.

  • Successful completion of secondary school education with post-secondary training in business administration or human resources.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
  • Recent* experience in the provision of human resources support services;
  • Recent* experience in the use of databases and software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and internet.
