YOUR ROLE

The Aldo Group is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our "Data & Analytics" team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure, as well as ensuring continuous improvements. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with data architects, AI analysts, product managers, quality assurance analysts, and other team members to understand the company's data needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines to support the needs of the AI, Data & Analytics team.
• Design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure for the Data & Analytics team and ensure continuous improvements.
• Develop and implement data movement framework, standards and policies to ensure the quality, security, and consistency of data.
• Monitor and audit compliance with established practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools for data management.
• Document data pipelines, data infrastructure, and related processes to ensure traceability and understanding.

DO YOU HAVE THE PROFILE WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Experience working with AWS Cloud technologies, as well as practical experience with CI/CD processes.
• Experience in developing and implementing data standards and policies to ensure the quality, security, and consistency of data.
• Experience in monitoring and managing the performance of data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Experience in evaluating existing processes and proposing continuous improvements.
• Experience with handling streaming real time data.
• Knowledge of DBT is an asset.
• Ability to work in both French and English, as communication with local and global partners is required.
