Job Lead Warehouse Manager in Mississauga

The Warehouse Lead Hand is responsible for the efficient operation of the afternoon shift, ensuring the loading and unloading of railcars and trailers in a safe and efficient manner. Ensures all operators complete daily forklift inspection and production reports.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily Operations Management
  • Involves day to day management of the warehouse operations, including:
  • Leading the assignment of all warehouse work on a daily basis in conjunction with the warehouse supervisor and customer service supervisor.
  • Manage the workflow, dealing with customer requirements, staff coordination etc.
  • Communicate with rail carriers, road carriers for efficient scheduling of work.
  • Manage space to the maximum efficiency, and to maximize capacity.
  • Ensure all work performed can be done safely and without undue risk to staff, equipment, freight.
  • Measurement of warehouse performance and productivity.
Primary Responsibility:
  • Safe operation of all equipment,
  • Responsible for unloading and loading of paper products from railcars and trailers,
  • Documentation of all product code numbers for bills of lading on outbound loads,
  • Ensuring that product is properly packaged for outbound shipments,
  • Assisting in any load transfers either with forklift or by hand,
  • Keeping track of all product movement in the Warehouse,
  • Completing forklift inspection sheets on a daily basis,
  • Responsible for general housekeeping.
  • Responsible for tracking all daily, wtd, mtd, ytd employee production reports.
Other:
Engage in other activities as is necessary to the position and as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.
This position is for Mon - Fri, 2:00pm - 10:30pm EST.
