Job Maintenance Technician in Edmonton
Details: The Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintenance, adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing and electrical systems, and performs a variety of routine maintenance, repairs and projects for McMan program and administrative buildings. They work in partnership with Administration, the Programs, Contractors and service providers to ensure properties and systems are maintained and repaired. They employ safe work practices and use appropriate materials and equipment to ensure high standards of work, safety and cleanliness.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm; 40 hours per week. This positions requires flexibility as hours and on call requirements may vary based on program needs.

In your role you will:
¨ Perform a variety of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, landscaping and tiling repair and maintenance work for program and administration buildings
¨ Provide input/consultation on any larger professional projects, and liaise and
coordinate with contractors to support project completion
¨ Complete required/scheduled basic maintenance and inventory of any tools, equipment and systems
¨ Accurately complete any required paperwork and documentation
¨ Manage and replenish inventory of supplies/materials as needed
¨ Communicate in a professional, accurate and respectful manner with the clients,
families, guardians, staff, contractors and community members
As one of the ideal candidates, you possess:
¨ Completion of a High School Diploma
¨ Five (5) years of previous experience in a general repair and maintenance role
¨ Proficiency in the use of power tools, common tools, precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices
¨ Police Information Check (within the last 6 months)
¨ Valid Class 5 Drivers License and current drivers abstract
¨ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Starting Rate of Pay: $28.77-$31.44; depending on experience
