Manager – Meat Department Food Centre

Peninsula Co-op is inviting applications for the full-time permanent position of Meat Manager, at our Food
Centre, located at 2132 Keating X Rd, Saanichton, BC.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative “foodie” to lead our team of customer service professionals. You will be overseeing all aspects of the operation of the Meat Department, maintaining Peninsula Co-op’s high standards for guest service and quality. Developing and achieving seasonal operating plans and budgets, designing and executing value-added and merchandising programs, while carefully controlling expenses. Taking care of people, including hiring and performance development, and working co-operatively with other departments, suppliers, etc.

Qualifications

  • Two years of management experience in a related field is required
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop motivated staff
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and financial information to identify trends and grow our business
  • Ability to effectively use computerized systems and applicable software
  • Strong computer skills, Excel, Word and other related sales tracking software required
