What you will do:
The Marketing Manager is part of the team responsible for the successful growth of Cineplex Pictures. In this role supporting the Cineplex Pictures distribution team in the strategic planning, execution, and measurement of all integrated marketing campaigns for our feature film releases in Canada.
Responsibilities:
  • Working closely with the Head of Distribution, the successful candidate will prepare all marketing briefs related to features releases. Briefs will include internal theatrical marketing, social media and online strategy, external and traditional paid media buys, partnerships, and promotions. Working with internal and external agencies to execute the final plans.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive public relations strategies that drive feature awareness and engagement
  • Identify opportunities to showcase the film and secure positive media coverage
  • Collaboratively work with selected agencies/suppliers/vendors to develop and implement the plan on localization of releases and all material and creation of innovative local campaigns to meet marketing goals.
  • Build and maintain excellent relations with exhibition partners providing communication of upcoming marketing plans to promote feature films in their theatres.
  • Produce regular post-mortem, ROI reports as a measurement for each campaign providing levels of detail around marketing tactics, execution and overall results.
Qualifications:
  • Post secondary diploma/degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications and/or
  • specific industry experience.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in Internet/Digital marketing. Experience in film/entertainment is an asset.
  • Experience leveraging research and digital analytics as the basis for developing strategic creative and media briefs.
  • Strong writing skills (must be able to write error-free and grammatically correct press releases, media pitches, social content, client communication, etc. )
  • Expert problem solver, creative thinker, who challenges the norm and pushes boundaries of PR to deliver results.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on approach - willing to jump in where needed
  • Team player with the ability to work independently yet collaborate effectively cross-functionally with both internal and external teams.
  • Demonstrated prioritization ability, solution orientation and resilience, given fast-changing environment and market landscape.
  • Ability to take initiative, to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing relationships with external partners to gain campaign alignment.
