Job Description:

Reporting to the Aerospace Marketing Manager, the Marketing Communications Specialist will be a marketing generalist who will have strong communication skills, be a reliable planner, and highly organized individual that can allocate resources to tasks and projects appropriately.

This position is primarily targeted at an experienced candidate looking to set the tone in a completely new role for marketing communications within Amphenol Canada. However, junior candidates with proven capabilities will also be considered. We are looking for someone with a strong sense of initiative and thoroughness who will collaborate to execute plans to completion.

The Marketing Communications Specialist will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the business to execute marketing plans and initiatives that support our mutual objectives. This exciting opportunity to support marketing activity will offer strong career growth potential into marketing management or other roles within the Marketing & Sales department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

This role's current vision of responsibilities will center on developing appropriate marketing strategies, tools, and materials for the aerospace connector group.

The list of tasks is open to what the candidate can bring to the table, including (but not limited to):

  • Creation and maintenance of online and print catalogue, literature, training & promotional videos, presentations, and other marketing collateral development, including graphic design
  • Proactively recommend out-of-the-box approaches, growth strategies, and tactics to develop product communication with new and existing customers & outside sales
  • Trade show strategy & sample kits
  • Social Media strategy & website improvements and content management based on analytics
  • Email campaign development and maintenance
  • Tracking, analysis, and reporting on key campaign metrics and website performance
  • Regular, proactive communication with customers, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service

Qualifications:

  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in Marketing or technical field and/or related academic credentials
  • 4+ years of practical experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing setting, or Telecom, IT, Test and Measurement, Automotive, or Industrial
  • Advanced graphics design tools & Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Experience in the creation of advertising campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think creatively and to offer new solutions
  • Setting targets, reporting results, and documenting status updates
  • Managing stakeholder relationships

Desired:

  • Advanced skills using Adobe Creative suite products
  • Technical background or aptitude, or experience supporting marketing in a technical environment, and/or experience using CAD software
  • Project Management skills
  • Market research oriented with the ability to identify opportunities
  • Advertising experience
  • Ability to travel globally
