About this Role:

Employment status: Salaried, Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Location: 1600 16th Ave - Unit 1, Richmond Hill, Ontario

Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Specialist is responsible for identifying and attracting new Single Gift donors, taking new and existing supporters on a meaningful journey with Hope and Healing International and engaging them more deeply with the cause and brand. Primarily by reviewing and analyzing reports and data to make informed decisions and maximize results.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzing campaign results and providing recommendations for future enhancements, making recommendations to increase revenue, acquisition and cultivation results.
  • Planning – evaluating the current state of the donor base, recommending key performance indicator targets and actions to achieve these goals.
  • Organizing – coordinating organizational resources, including staff, budget and other expenses, to implement the plans determined during the strategy budget planning process.
  • Controlling – establishing benchmarks or standards based on organization and department’s goals, comparing actual performance against these standards, and adjusting plans based on results to maximize budgets.
  • Marketing Communications – reviewing communications, providing feedback on edits as well as recommendations on enhancements to content and communication channels such as mail, digital and phone.

More specifically, Marketing Specialist will:

  • Analyze campaigns and reports to recommend ideal donor data segmentation jobs to increase revenue, reactivation and retention
  • Define tactics, track KPIs, set realistic targets and budget expenses for the Single Gift acquisition and cultivation activities
  • Determine budget requirements and develop annual budgets for the Single Gift strategy
  • Review and track invoices and ensure on track to budget
  • Analyze campaign effectiveness and giving trends to refine the donor journey and increase acquisition, revenue, retention and reactivation
  • Plan and implement an inspiring journey for Single Gift supporters
  • Engage with internal staff such as Creative and Production Services, Digital and Decision Support Services, Donor Relations and Donor Services as required to brief and project manage about 15 to 20 campaigns per year
  • Access Studio Enterprise to validate data lists to support acquisition and cultivation channels
  • Keep abreast of what is effective and what is emerging in the Single Gift fundraising space
  • Performing other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Our ideal candidate would have:

  • College / university degree with a focus on analytics, statistics, marketing and business development or equivalent
  • 4 to 6 years of prior relevant experience, preferably within the not-for-profit sector
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Extremely effective interpersonal and networking skills with a professional presence and manner
  • Outstanding insight and analytical thinking – rooted in testing and data
  • Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail to review data requirements efficiently and accurately
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within tightly prescribed timelines
  • Being versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Administrative skills with experience in creating creative briefs, graphs and presentations
  • Team player
  • Strong computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
  • Knowledge of Donor Management software – Donor Studio would be an asset
