The Flight Operations Analyst will be responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the company's flight schedule. The role will involve collecting, analyzing and interpreting data to provide recommendations to improve pilot schedules and flight operations performance, monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the company's continuous improvement objectives.

PAL Airlines is currently seeking a Flight Operations Analyst to join our team in St. John's NL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze and interpret data to optimize pilot and flight operations performance.
  • Monitor and report on compliance with flight regulations and company policies related to pilot schedules.
  • Provide technical support to resolve operational issues and improve pilot schedules and flight performance.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve pilot efficiency and performance.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to pilot efficiency and performance for management review.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues.
  • Keep up-to-date with regulatory requirements and changes in industry practices related to pilot scheduling.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of flight operational policies and procedures related to pilot schedules.
  • Other duties assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, aviation, engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in flight operations or a related field, with a focus on scheduling and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, PowerBI, and other data analysis tools.
  • Experience in Database Design, Sequence Scripting/SQL, and the use of APIs.
  • Familiarity with flight regulations and aviation industry practices related to pilot scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
