The Billing Manager is responsible for oversight, direction and effective management of billing and collection function across all business units in accordance with client engagements. This position reports to the Senior Manager –Administration.

What you will do:

Main operational responsibilities:

  • Leads a team responsible for operations, including related business liaising
  • Ensures a high service level is provided by the operations/ administrative support team by overseeing the quality and accuracy of work being produced
  • Proactively resolves issues with appropriate resources and drive towards solutions
  • Performs supervision of administrative staff (performance evaluations, overtime, leave, absences, workload, work climate, safety, job interviews, action plans, etc.)
  • Improves the efficiency of work processes and productivity of administrative staff
  • Analyzes and Reports on time utilization and productivity metrics for the support teams
  • Participates in pay and budget planning
  • Develops a culture based on teamwork, mutual aid and collaboration between administrative employees in the same office and also between business locations (for example: by promoting the use of the latest technology available to ensure the competitiveness of the services offered)
  • Balances workload, workflow, vacation schedule and overtime of the administration team
  • Monitors the implementation of all policies and procedures as they relate to the location
  • Maintains and updates the Business Continuity Plan documentation and contact lists


People Management:


  • Recruits, manages, motivates team members
  • Assesses and develops employee’s skills and knowledge
  • Facilitates the performance development cycle for employees that includes annual goal setting, interim and year end reviews, year-end calibration, annual pay increases and ongoing performance feedback
What you bring to this role:

Skills & Requirements:

  • University degree: Business / Administration degree preferred (ex. Finance, Communications, HR).
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience, ideally in the professional services industry or administrative operations management
  • 6 years or more related experience at management level
  • Strong business acumen with problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional skills in communication, customer service, attention to detail and project management
  • Proactive approach to delivery of daily responsibilities along with the ability to think strategically about wellness in the context of a professional services environment
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analytical proficiency.
  • Approachable and solution-oriented when presented with problems / issues
  • Extremely detail-oriented, with clear and proven organizational skills.
