Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to manage the day to day operations of Speedy Transport Group and to lead the workforce to achieve safety, quality, service, and cost goals.

Position Details:

A successful candidate has to be able to commute from Barrie to Brampton during their training period. In addition flexible on shifts as part of their training and position requirement .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the dock is adequately staffed and that personnel are properly trained to carry out their work in a safe and competent manner
  • Work with the employees to ensure a safe work environment consistent with relevant legislation and company policies
  • Ensure that the dock is efficiently scheduled to meet customer requirements and that customer issues are resolved in an effective and timely manner
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, budget targets and contribute to the growth of the company in a pro-active manner
  • Oversee all routine and preventative maintenance and schedule any major repairs in accordance with production requirements
  • Manage the overall logistics of the company’s shipping and receiving
  • Manage the shift Operations Supervisors
  • Work closely with customer service to provide the best possible service for our customers

Position Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of Management Experience
  • 3-5 years of Transportation Industry Experience

Salary: From $65,000.00 per year
