Programs range from primary care to acute care, and includes laboratories, pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. Additional programs that also support patient care and information, include Virtual Care, the MySaskHealthRecord, and the Provincial Electronic Health Record. eHealth is also responsible for the administration of various pieces of legislation to manage the registration of/changes to all vital event records (e.g. birth, marriage, death, etc.), registration of legal name changes, registration of adoptions, and for maintaining the provincial health registry for health services eligibility and distribution of health services cards.
The eHealth teams engage directly with health system partners and other stakeholders both provincially and federally to ensure all services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
About the Role
The Manager of Public Health and Primary Care Services will oversee the day-to-day management, operations, and evaluation of the public health and primary care centered services and applications within eHealth Programs Division. The individual will serve as a liaison between the clinical stakeholders and IT, and accurately and promptly analyze, prioritize, and translate user needs and requests related to various information systems. The individual will facilitate communication amongst large groups of interdisciplinary end users while working collaboratively and directly with technical experts and vendors. With patients and the public at the forefront, you will be responsible for maximizing the benefits of program solutions, providing collaboration and consulting services to interdepartmental teams, and facilitating communication between the public, clinical areas, and information technology teams.

Proven experience and skills in effective communication, leadership, problem solving, documentation standards, and a rigor for change management protocols and quality control are also required.
- Accountable for leading strategic planning, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the assigned program areas within their portfolio
- Establish strong working relationships and facilitate continual collaboration with stakeholders across the province
- Develop and deliver an annual program work plan, including objectives, timelines and outcomes in consultation and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
- Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives by continually evaluating program goals, objectives and procedures
- Establish and facilitate committees and working groups as required to support program planning, development, evaluation, and quality improvement
- Analyze and report out on utilization management, quality assurance, demand and capacity and program evaluation
- Prepare, control, and evaluate the annual staffing and operating budgets, complete budget forecasts and variance reporting for the services/programs you oversee. Manage service agreements and license renewals.
- Set performance expectations with individual staff members, identifying short and long term goals, and conduct annual performance reviews for staff and provide ongoing feedback and leadership to staff regarding performance expectations
- Develop a communication plan to ensure transparency to stakeholders and the development of a formal issues management process to handle stakeholder concerns and to improve the service(s) delivered
- Acts as a role model reflecting the vision, mission and values of eHealth Saskatchewan and the philosophy of client-centered care
Experience & Qualifications
The successful applicant will have a mix of a strategic mindset, relatable educational background and operational experience. They will need to be able to paint the strategic picture for those around them, while understanding the operational nuances that drive the business. Curiosity, and the ability to learn new subjects and apply them into practice will also be critical.
- Post-secondary degree in business, IT or health related field;
- Have minimum 5 years management experience;
- Minimum 5 years working in the healthcare or e-Health sectors; and
