Schedule: Monday to Friday (day shift)

Position Overview :
Production labour will work in a fast-paced environment and duties will vary depending on which sector they work in but could include anything from feeding materials into machinery, assembling items, packaging items or storing items.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Opens meat products for assigned tables (directed by supervisor)
  • Physical counts on raw materials on a daily basis.
  • Follow and maintain all HACCP regulations.
  • Assist with garbage disposal (ie: boxes/de-bagging materials).
  • Assist with the trimmings from steak machines.
  • Responsible for maintaining excellent quality, sanitation, safety and production standards.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completion of high school or GED equivalent (preferred)
  • Skills and Knowledge Required for Duties:
  • Oral communication; Working with others; Decision making;
  • Critical thinking; Job task planning and organizing; Continuous
learning.
  • Experience is an asset.

Physical Demands:
  • Handling heavy loads.
  • Repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding;
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Good hand/eye coordination.
  • Combination of sitting/standing/walking.
  • Bending/crouching/kneeling.

Work Conditions:
  • 40 hours per week (8 hours per day).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Noise, odors, cold (refrigeration).
