In addition to day-to-day responsibilities, all interns will participate in an intern group project dedicated to a critical business initiative as well as be exposed to all areas of our business and our brands. Leadership seminars and career exploration series connect our interns to our leaders and educate around different career paths. Intern performance will be assessed using out internal review process and could potentially lead to a full-time offer.

This is a paid summer internship. Start date: June 5, 2023. End Date: August 11, 2023
We are currently seeking a Retail Productivity and Process Improvement intern to join our internship program for the summer of 2023.

This internship will provide the opportunity to work alongside our DTC Operations team. This role would provide experience in Labour management, workforce management enhancements, as well as research and analytics on our O&O store performance for peak season readiness. The intern will get exposure to all three areas and a dedicated project in one area providing a well-rounded, hands-on experience to the areas that make up our team.

Primary responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
  • Work side by side our DTC Operations team
  • Drive store performance through retail operational excellence
  • Review schedules, processes, specifications, and related information affecting productivity.
  • Observe and gain experience in Labour and Workforce management, ongoing analysis of O&O store performance against our AFP target and creating an action plan on how to drive leverage EBIT performance through Labour spend.
  • Create a dedicated project that encompasses a framework that provides the O&O Store Managers a digestible guide on their seasonal headcount expectations to ensure peak season success.
  • Key measurable is revenue & conversion build through scheduling optimization – by having the right people, in the right place at the right time for our consumer.
  • Provide support with logistics, agenda content design, follow-ups, etc. for leadership team meetings, Town Halls. Example reporting to provide SMs, DMs, and leadership will include:
  • O&O Store’s labour performance MTD, QTD, Year-to-go.
  • Seasonal hiring completion rate WTD.
  • Conversion % gain week over week.
Requirements for internship:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program
  • Must be in their 3rd year of studies, with a graduation date of spring 2024
  • Computer literacy including proficiency with MS Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the Retail Operations field
  • Must have strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, detail oriented and thorough.
  • Must be able to navigate through ambiguity – identifying problems and areas of opportunities, followed by a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional problem solving and organization capabilities
  • Not required but ideal is if the candidate has sound knowledge with Kronos (Workforce Management Solution).

The expected hourly rate for this role
is $24.00/hour. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance, and business needs.
