Job Project Manager in Toronto

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Project Manager that will manage day-to-day projects simultaneously with various departments across the entire company to ensure timelines are met. The Project Manager will report to our Director of Business Operations and will be expected to manage resources from various teams, to ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget. The focus for the role will be overseeing integrations/migrations and ensuring those targets are met. However, the Project Manager will ensure all parties are always updated on the progress of all ongoing projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Ownership of end-to-end customer strategy, working closing with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop detailed project plans, processes, scheduling/estimating completion dates and providing updated status reports all within budget.
  • Prepare project schedules and timelines to ensure priorities are communicated clearly and to organize resources so that all requirements are in place to complete projects from conception to completion.
  • Prepare, review and track project budgets and provide budget reports and update the budgeting processing.
  • Assigning individual tasks and leading the teams through the project.
  • Work closely with functional leads to build a culture of co-operation, team philosophy and focus on delivery of excellence.
  • Encourage all teams to communicate effectively and develop a culture of participation and involvement.
  • Administrative reporting and internal system updates:
    • Create project numbers
    • Creates Account numbers in SAP and assigns budget amounts
    • Creates reports in SAP to determine current spends
  • Assist in the growth of the project management team and setting standards and methodologies along with the rest of the team.
  • People Management:
    • Provide direction to, support, develop, and manage direct report(s)
    • Delegate tasks as required
  • All other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma.
  • At least 5+ years of professional working experience in relevant role.
  • Experience in project management, business analysis, continuous improvement, or process analysis.
  • Experience in telecoms/IT/tech or related industries.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified or formal Project Management education is mandatory.
  • Experience with JIRA and SAP an asset.
  • At least 4+ years of experience managing reports and reporting results. (Advanced Excel skills)
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
