Job QA Engineer in Toronto
As our Intermediate Automation engineer, you will:
● Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
● Work as part of an agile team to ensure quality is driven into the heart of the development process
● Strong experience in understanding the business processes, system functionality & integration, ability to write and execute manual test cases
● Provide verbal and written testing status updates
● Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
● Support all test activities, enhance, develop and execute automated test scripts, record and track software discrepancies
● Maintain automated scripts to keep up with changing business needs
● Conduct initial root cause analysis of identified defects and raise necessary tickets if it is a defect
● Work with developers, business analysts, and end-user groups to identify/resolve issues
● Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
● Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
● Participate in scrum meetings (sprint planning, sprint retrospective)

As a Intermediate QA Analyst, you must have
● 4+ years of experience as a QA Tester with automation and manual testing
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related
● Experience & understanding of different types of testing (Functional, Regression, UAT)
● Help to implement and enhance the QA test automation framework, promoting and improving testability, creating and automating test cases
● Hands-on experience with front-end automated testing tools (Selenium, TestRigor)
● knowledge of XPath and CSS selectors
● Hands-on experience with backend (REST API Services) automated testing tools (Postman)
● Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
● Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
● Solid knowledge of SQL and No SQL and scripting
● Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
● Critical thinker, good analytical and problem-solving skills
● Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
Nice to have:
● Nice to have JIRA and Confluence experience
