Job Receptionist in Edmonton

DXP | HSE Integrated is looking for a full-time,Receptionist to join our Sherwood Park Location.

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm

The Receptionist is responsible for a variety of administrative office duties which include, greeting and screening visitors, as well as answering and referring inbound telephone calls. The Receptionist should possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to function effectively as a part of the team and have above average computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office packages.

Responsibilities are:

  • As a front-line worker, present a positive and professional image of the organization to all visitors, suppliers and other interactions
  • Understand the Emergency Response policy and respond in a calm professional manner when emergency calls are received
  • Respond to telephone, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from clients, station employees, and other parties and record telephone, e-mail, or written messages if applicable
  • Refer all inquiries to the appropriate individuals, stations, or departments across the organization
  • Ensure all personnel, visitors and contractors have signed in / out according to ERP procedures
  • Administer and manage inbound/outbound mail, including priority post, packages, courier services, and other correspondence
  • Ensure all Fleet paperwork, Fuel Envelopes, Drivers Logs and Pre/Post Trips are logged and filed according to Corporate requirements
  • Ensure that the station level safety files are maintained to the requirements of the HSE Manager
  • Assist with maintaining hard and electronic filing systems as required by corporate rules and governance
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to employee information
  • Maintain an open and clear communication with all managers and field employees should assistance be required
  • Ensure that the reception is in a tidy and presentable manner
  • Perform other duties and projects as directed by the Station Manager

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • 1 ? 2 years of direct work experience in a receptionist capacity
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering, as well as inventory control of these items
  • Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Superior telephone manners and strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
  • Strong customer service orientation
