POSITION OVERVIEW

The F & B Supervisor (Restaurant / Banquets) – position reports to the F & B Manager and will be responsible for hotel’s F & B operations. This position will work closely with Catering & Kitchen team to ensure efficient execution of all events through impeccable service while following both company and facility policies and procedures.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The F & B Supervisor is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Managing all activity related to the Restaurant and Banquet department, ensuring all service standards are followed
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
  • Ensuring all functions maintain a class and positive visual impact; including ambiance, décor and service delivery
  • Coaching and training of restaurant and banquet team in all aspects of the department
  • Assisting with the Recruitment and Training for the staff
  • Assuming responsibility for all restaurant , lounge and banquet facilities, including cleanliness, repair and maintenance, reporting any deficiencies as required
  • Attending pre-conference meetings with clients to confirm all relevant details are communicated
  • Working closely with the Culinary and Stewarding team to ensure all banquet requirements are in place
  • Liaising with the Conference Services/Catering Department to ensure that a common vision in direction is further developed, shared, and maintained
  • Following outlet policies, procedures and service standards
  • Following all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

The F & B Supervisor must have:

  • At least 1 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience in food and beverage required
  • Serve certification required
  • Previous experience in hotel banquets, catering , restaurant and Lounge required
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong knowledge of Micros , Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Property Management system and Sales & Catering system required
  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
