Job Sales Development Representative in Waterloo

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving pipeline through outbound calling and email campaigns, responding to telephone and email contacts with a wide variety of sourced leads to identify, qualify, and develop quality sales opportunities for the sales team.

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) role is a critical component of our growth plan. As a Virtek SDR, you will be the first line of engagement with future customers and will have an impact on our success as the world leader in laser assembly solutions. It will be your responsibility to qualify leads for our sales team while generating leads through outbound channels. You will work closely with sales and marketing teams to build our pipeline of business.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive top-of-the-funnel lead generation for account executives and sales managers.
  • Prospect for customers and potential partners through your own direct activities.
  • Conduct effective discovery and qualification conversations with prospects through your deep understanding of our product value proposition and use cases.
  • Follow up on leads generated through marketing activity.
  • Develop prospects into candidates by effectively communicating the Virtek value proposition tailored to their needs.
  • Utilize lead qualification process, as well as, document sales information in SalesForce.
  • Pursue growth into new markets and companies (prospecting and lead management).
  • Develop and maintain current knowledge of market/industry business, programs, press releases, competitors, strategies, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a college or university diploma/degree.
  • Strong planning, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • A high degree of initiative, creativity and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent phone presence.
  • Results oriented with proven success in prospecting and bringing prospects to the next step in the sales process.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment; excellent interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to understand sales and marketing strategy and develop value-added solutions.
  • Experience using CRM systems strongly preferred.
