This is a hybrid position with in-office flexibility a few days a week.

Summary: In this role, the successful Summer Intern candidate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including the development of construction-specific templates, creating marketing collateral, managing data and file structures within Microsoft Teams, and developing low-code processes using Microsoft Power Automate. The Summer Intern orientation offers a thorough overview of the company and the opportunity to learn from several senior leaders. The Intern will also work closely with producers and account managers to support the sales process, track project opportunities, and create pitch decks for various business segments. Additionally, this role involves organizing and analyzing data from the NFP’s claims database, researching new construction and infrastructure risk-mitigating technologies, and creating benchmarking reports using internal systems and third-party vendor data.

Candidates should possess proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong research and communication skills, and an analytical mindset. A background in Marketing, Business, Technology, or a related field, along with experience in project management, data analysis, or marketing, is highly desired. Familiarity with construction-specific templates, reporting, and marketing collateral, as well as experience with CRM systems or sales enablement tools, is a plus.

Projects:

  • Teams Site
    • Assistance with creating marketing collateral and training for Teams roll-out
    • Assistance with transferring data and maintaining file structure
  • Power Automate
    • Develop low-code processes using Microsoft Power Automate for the following:
      • Colleague onboarding
      • Information collection
      • Approvals for Travel
    • Sales Enablement
      • Work with producers / account managers to keep track up sales funnel, inputting data into forms that feed into dashboard
      • Create weekly cadence on project opportunities (research background, connected clients/prospects etc) for C&I Exec, using database sites or investigative research online
      • Create pitch decks for various segments of business within C&I
    • Technology & Analytics
      • Run logistics of setting up standing tech calls with for the Technology Taskforce
      • Organize and derive new insights using the Broadspire claims database
      • Research new Construction & Infrastructure Risk Mitigating Technologies
      • Create report for benchmarking templates and using internal systems and leveraging third party vendor data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and experience with file organization and management
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate and ability to develop low-code processes
  • Strong research skills and ability to synthesize complex information
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
  • Familiarity with database sites, data visualization tools, and risk management systems.
  • Interest in construction and infrastructure risk mitigation technologies

Education and/or Experience:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework or experience in project management, data analysis, or marketing is a plus.
  • Previous internship or work experience in a professional setting, preferably within the construction and infrastructure industry.
  • Familiarity with construction-specific templates, reporting, and marketing collateral.
  • Experience with CRM systems or sales enablement tools is a plus.
