Job Sales Representative in Surrey
Due to growth, Top Lift Enterprises (Surrey, BC) is currently seeking a detail oriented, dynamic, and motivated individual to join our Sales team!
General Summary:
Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory by effectively selling the Company's products and related services. Personally, contacts and secures new business accounts and customers.
Core Functions:
- Promotes, sells, and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through relationship-based approach.
- Demonstrates products and services to existing and potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
Details of Function:
- Establishes, develops, and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territories to generate new business for Top Lift's products and services.
- Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Develops clear and effective written proposals / quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
- Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, equipment inventory manager and service departments as necessary.
- Analyzes the territory's market potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers to Top Lift.
- Identifies advantages, features, and benefits of Top Lift's product offerings;
o Competitive comparisons from a functional and cost approach are a key component of this analysis.
- Plans and organizes a personal sales strategy to maximize the Return on Time Investment for the territory.
- Participates in trade shows and conventions.
- Maintains a superior knowledge of products offered through sales training with the manufacturers and Top Lift, maintains current knowledge of current market conditions including knowledge of Top Lift's competitors and related programs. Maintains current database on finance offerings by the manufacturers and by the finance sources available to Top Lift customers.
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on:
o customer needs, problems, and interests
o competitor activity in the territory
o equipment sales in the territory
- market share information is provided regularly, and the territory manager should be aware of most if not all equipment transactions in his territory and be able to report to management specifics about lost sales.
- Lost sales analysis is critical to future success.
